Message from the NC Association Of Fire Chiefs:
Over the past several weeks, the members of the NCAFC Board of Directors, along with the planning committee for the NC Fire Prevention School, have carefully followed both the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention and the NC Governor’s press office regarding the ever-changing developments regarding COVID-19. The safety and health of our attendees, instructors and support staff is of upmost importance to us.
After diligent consideration, we have reached the decision that in the best interest of the NC Fire Service and the safety of all attendees, that the NC Fire Prevention School, scheduled for next week, should be cancelled.

Due to the rapidly changing dynamics, it was becoming increasing difficult to be able to deliver a high-quality program, which has always been the goal and standard of the school.
I trust that you, and your department leadership, can understand and appreciate this decision and the difficulty of cancelling a well-structured, 60-year program.
We will be in contact with all participants in the days ahead regarding refunds and the direction of the school for this year.
Thank you for your understanding and for your continued support to the NC Fire Prevention School.
As always, please do not hesitate to contact us with any questions.
